Painting for Schipper Construction

Santa Barbara, Lompoc and Camarillo, CA

Purple Painting has painted seven commercial projects for the general contractor Schipper Construction: the new Starbucks at Hotel Californian in Santa Barbara, the gorilla exhibit viewing cave at the Santa Barbara Zoo, the new pool bar at La Cumbre Country Club in Santa Barbara, the new Center for Jewish Learning and sanctuary building at Congregation B'nai B'rith in Santa Barbara, the Ventura County Credit Union branch in Camarillo, the seismic retrofit of the Lompoc Theatre, and a YMCA portable building at Monte Vista School in Santa Barbara.

At the Starbucks we painted soffits, walls and doors and furnished and installed a lime wash finish on multiple walls. At the Zoo we repaired water-damaged drywall and painted the viewing cave's walls, ceiling and window frames, a metal door and the entry gates. At Congregation B'nai B'rith we painted interior walls, ceilings and doors, the exterior plaster, steel and handrails and the decorative metal fins. At the credit union we painted the brick exterior, the storefront windows, the fascia and the wood soffits. At the pool bar we painted the stucco walls and columns, the eaves, beams and tongue-and-groove ceilings, doors and railings, and the interior of the existing kitchen. At the Lompoc Theatre we painted the new parapet coping and steel plates, the downspouts and leader boxes and the rebuilt chimney, and at Monte Vista School we repainted the portable's siding, skirting and trim and its new doors, deck and railing. The owners included the Santa Barbara Zoo, Congregation B'nai B'rith, La Cumbre Country Club, Ventura County Credit Union and The Lompoc Theatre Project.
