Homes in Ventura
Ventura’s historic landmarks include Queen Anne and other Victorian homes, Craftsman bungalows, and Spanish Colonial, Mission and Tudor Revival houses. The Mitchell Block on East Thompson Boulevard is a row of eight houses built from about 1877 to 1905.

Climate and coatings
Sea breezes keep Ventura mild most of the year, but Santa Ana winds can bring sudden heat, strong gusts and very low humidity. Those are days not to paint: hot, dry wind makes latex paint dry too fast (Dunn-Edwards).
