Neighbourhoods we serve
Homes in Santa Maria
Santa Maria grew with oil: discoveries in the early 1900s, then the Santa Maria Valley Oil Field in 1934 under the south and west of the city. Orcutt, the residential community directly south, began as a townsite for oil-field workers.
Climate and coatings
The Santa Maria Valley is mostly sunny, with ocean breezes and frequent fog. On foggy mornings, painting waits until the wall is dry and at least 5 °F above the dew point (Benjamin Moore). Shaded, damp walls chalk and mildew sooner, so a quality 100% acrylic paint is the better choice (Dunn-Edwards).
