  • We follow each manager’s vendor requirements, including putting your work order number on our invoices.

More on our license and insurance is on our contractors and property managers page, and the managers we turn units for are on our property managers page. We also paint for HOAs and community associations.

Unit Turns Between Tenants

For apartments and rentals, we paint units turning over between tenants. A complete unit repaint covers all walls, trim and baseboards, interior doors, closets, kitchen and bathroom walls and bathroom ceilings. Kitchen cabinets, vanities, millwork, shelving and color changes are not part of the turn price.

We keep a turn schedule that tracks each unit’s date, address, service, start, due and move-in dates, and we batch painting and cleaning by day, including weekends, ahead of move-in dates. Notes on the schedule flag anything the manager needs to know, such as flooring to replace.

We mask all items that are not being painted, including cabinets, and for multi-unit communities we keep a color log for each unit.

Commercial Buildings

Much of the work we have performed in the past has been a mixture of residential and commercial painting. Purple Painting is equally eager to be involved in both markets and takes seriously both the homeowners’ approach and the commercial builder/operators’ approach. Understanding the different needs of each group and delivering on these expectations is one of our strong interests.
