Nursery Tree Mural and Green Walls

Purple Painting primed one nursery wall and hung a forest tree wall mural the homeowner ordered, then painted the other walls green. It was one room of a Goleta house repaint that also covered the exterior trim, soffits and beams.

This Goleta house repaint included a nursery with a forest of tall pines and firs on one wall. The homeowner chose the mural and had it ordered from Rebel Walls; we primed the wall and installed it as a wallcovering, so it is paper on the wall rather than hand-painted. The remaining nursery walls were painted green.

How we did it

Clean and prep
All surfaces were cleaned and lightly prepped, with spot patching and caulking as needed, and the floors and surfaces were protected daily.

Prime for wallpaper and hang the mural
One bedroom wall was primed for wallpaper and the wall mural was installed on it.

Paint the interior walls
The interior walls were given two finish coats.

Paint the exterior trim
The exterior trim got two finish coats, and the corbels one coat.

Stain the soffits and beams
By change order, the soffits and beams were pressure washed, sanded and given one coat of solid stain.
