This client in Montecito Ranch supplied us with a gorgeous Candice Olson wallpaper, and we gave her high quality finishes throughout the entire room. Wall priming and installation both took half a day's work- quick turnarounds and flexible scheduling being trademarks of our convenient process. Just one of the reasons we were brought back to paint her home theater and cover repairs from water damage in the guest house.

Preparing for Adhesive

A clean, smooth wall is what you're looking for before applying wallpaper. This provides a strong foundation for primer, preventing bubbles from forming down the line. First, we sanded each wall. In such a humid area we have to ensure that the wall is even and dry. Taking these steps also decreases damage when the wallpaper is eventually removed.

How we did it

  1. Mask and prime the walls

Everything not being primed was masked off, then all the walls were primed with a multi-purpose primer to prepare them for wallpaper.

  2. Install the wallcovering

The wallcovering went on all the walls, cut around the sconces and the vanity. The client supplied the paper.

  3. Clean up the paste
