Hope Ranch

Great room with a wood-beam ceiling, painted walls and a pale green glass door open onto the terrace — Pre-Sale Interior Repaint and Exterior Walls, Hope Ranch

Purple Painting repainted the interior of a Hope Ranch home before it went on the market, including the new drywall in the guest house and basement, and pressure washed and painted its exterior stucco and retaining walls. The photos on file are a job-walk shot of a tile mural on a painted wall and two stills from a video taken during the work.

Purple Painting began an interior paint refresh of a Hope Ranch home that was about to go on the market. A crew of up to eight worked through the first week, and the job grew with additions: the basement and storage rooms, the garage doors, the front retaining walls around the raised patio, and the guest house, where all the new drywall was prepared and painted.

Outside, the exterior was pressure washed and the stucco and retaining walls were patched and painted. Inside, the ceilings were painted flat and the walls eggshell, with curtain rods removed and holes patched first.

The photos we have are a job-walk shot showing a painted interior wall with a decorative tile mural, and two stills from a video taken during the work: the living room with its fireplace, and the entry stairs and balcony. There are no photos of the finished rooms.

How we did it

  1. Pressure wash and clean up

The exterior was pressure washed and cleaned up before painting.

  2. Prepare the interior

Curtain rods were removed and holes patched, and in the guest house and the basement and storage rooms all the replaced drywall was prepared.

  3. Paint the interior

Walls and ceilings in the main residence upstairs, the basement and storage rooms and the guest house were primed and painted, with the ceilings flat and the walls eggshell, and a third coat on the existing accent walls where needed.

  4. Paint the exterior walls

Stucco walls were patched and painted, including the retaining walls, the front lower retaining walls around the raised patio and the garage doors.

  5. Trim touch-ups

Trim throughout was touched up, with the wood thresholds.
