satin · new windows
New windows had been installed in a two-storey Spanish-style home in Santa Barbara, leaving gray stucco patches around the frames and old shutter and awning hardware on the walls. Our job was to bring the windows and the two walls around them back together.
We pressure washed both elevations, patched stucco cracks, holes and anchor points including the installer’s patches, removed the shutters, old awning hardware and wall hooks and patched the holes, and primed every patch with a masonry bonding primer. The stucco body and wood eaves then got one uniform finish coat, corner to corner. The new windows were scuff sanded, the glass masked, and each given one coat of gray tinted acrylic primer and two coats of exterior paint in a green to match the existing, sprayed for a smooth factory-style finish with the edges cut in by hand. No urethane or oil-based coatings were used on the windows, at the owner’s direction.
