A full exterior repaint of a three-building property in Santa Barbara: the main house, the ADU and the gym. The job was a colour change on every surface, from a yellow body with green fascia to a lighter two-colour scheme on all three buildings, with the body and eaves in one colour and an accent on the fascia and window and door trim.
We pressure washed all three buildings, scraped and sanded failing paint, re-caulked gaps and joints, spot primed bare wood and patched areas, and masked the landscaping, windows, doors and fixtures. The siding, eaves, fascia, casings, corner trim and entry doors then got two full coats: flat on the siding and eaves, satin on the doors and trim.
How we did it

Pressure wash
All three buildings were pressure washed to remove dirt, debris and loose paint.

Scrape and sand
Loose, peeling or failing paint was removed.

Caulk and seal
Gaps, seams and joints were inspected and re-caulked as needed.

Spot prime
Bare wood, rusted metal and patched areas were spot primed.

Mask and protect
Landscaping, windows, doors and fixtures were covered before painting.

Paint two coats
Two full coats on the siding and eaves (flat) and on the fascia, casings and doors (satin), in a new two-colour scheme on all three buildings.
