velvet · walls, ceilings, doors and trim
Castle Construction of Santa Barbara remodeled a bathroom and a bedroom in a Santa Barbara home, and Purple Painting did the painting. In the bathroom we primed the walls and ceiling and painted the walls, the ceiling and the new door and frame, both sides. In the bedroom we painted the walls, the ceiling, the existing door and frame and the baseboard.
Four new closet doors were added during the job, and we painted those too. Everything, walls, ceilings, doors and trim, went in one colour. Before painting we covered the cabinets, floors and tile, and filled, sanded, primed and caulked the trim and doors.
How we did it
-
Protect and prep
Cabinets, floors and tile were covered, and the trim and doors were prepped: holes filled, sanded, primed and caulked.
-
Prime
The bedroom walls and the patched areas of the bathroom were primed.
-
Paint the ceilings and walls
The bathroom and bedroom ceilings and walls each got two coats in Snowbound.
-
Paint the doors and trim
The new bathroom door and frame, the existing bedroom door and frame and the baseboard were painted, and so were four new closet doors added during the job.
