Renovation of the entire back of the house for Dick's Sporting Goods in Santa Maria. The store needed more storage room so they expanded out the back wall, adjusting the size of the shoe department to be smaller. We primed and painted all associated new construction, doors, trim, and walls which included a razor sharp line paint stripe with different colors on the top and bottom.
How we did it
-
Prime the new construction
All the new back-of-house walls got one coat of primer, down to the stockroom.
-
Paint the upper walls and columns
Walls and columns up to the deck were painted in two finish coats.
-
Spray the underside of the deck
The underside of the roof deck was sprayed in a flat waterborne acrylic dryfall.
-
Paint the lower walls
The lower walls of each department were painted in their own colours, two finish coats over the primer.
-
Paint the stripe and trim
A sharp one-foot paint band went on in the footwear department, with the new trim, interior doors and frames in a flat finish, and a 2-inch band only in the footwear stockroom.
-
Paint exposed conduit and mechanicals
New exposed conduit and mechanicals on the walls and ceilings were painted to match the existing.
