Purple Painting painted a new CorePower Yoga studio in Ventura inside and out for the general contractor Bottenfield Construction, Inc. Inside: the walls and ceilings, the exposed ceiling in black, doors and frames in black, and the heat panels sprayed black. Outside: pressure washing, the plaster, columns, soffits, wood eaves and metal railings.

Purple Painting painted a new CorePower Yoga studio in Ventura, a tenant improvement run by the general contractor Bottenfield Construction, Inc., inside and out.
Inside, we painted the interior walls (gypsum, CMU, existing and chalk walls), the gypsum ceilings and bulkheads, and the exposed ceiling, which went black. The doors and their hollow metal frames, the steel post, a window frame and the air returns were painted too, and the studio's heat panels were sprayed black. The walls are white, with colour on the yoga studio walls.
On the outside we pressure washed the building, then painted the plaster walls, the plaster columns and soffits, the wood eaves and the metal railings.
How we did it

Paint the interior walls and ceilings
The interior walls and gypsum ceilings were painted from the colour log: white walls, colour on the yoga studio walls, and flat ceilings.

Paint the exposed ceiling black
The exposed ceiling was painted black in dryfall, as the colour log specifies.

Paint the doors, frames and metal
The interior wood and steel doors and hollow metal frames, the steel post, a window frame and the air returns were painted, the doors in black semi-gloss from the colour log.

Spray the heat panels black
The heat panels were sprayed black.

Pressure wash the exterior
The existing exterior areas were pressure washed before painting.

Spot prime and paint the plaster
The plaster walls, columns and soffits were spot primed and given two coats of finish, with a colour change throughout.

Paint the wood eaves
The wood eaves were spot primed and given two coats in the new soffit colour.

Prepare, prime and paint the metal
Rust on the metal railings and louver was prepared, then primed with red oxide primer and finished in a Pro Industrial enamel.
