Purple Painting took apart the built-ins in the primary suite's his closet in a new Mesa home, stained them in two coats of custom colour matched piece by piece, and finished them in two coats of clear, for Jed Hirsch General Building Contractor.

his closet built-ins
A new custom home on the Santa Barbara Mesa, built by Jed Hirsch General Building Contractor. The built-ins in the his closet of the upstairs primary suite were first contracted as paint grade; they were finished in a custom stain instead.
The closet cabinets were labeled and taken apart, the floors, walls and nearby items were masked, and the fronts and frames were sanded and cleaned. A base coat of stain went on the frames and body and on both sides of every door and drawer. After a scuff and clean, a second coat of colour went on, and the frames and body were adjusted piece by piece to match. Two coats of clear finished the frames, body, doors and drawers, and the cabinets were put back together.

Take apart, mask and prep
The closet cabinets were labeled and taken apart, the floors, walls and nearby items were masked, and the fronts and frames were sanded, vacuumed and cleaned.

Base coat of stain
A base coat of stain went on the frames and body and on both sides of the doors and drawers.

Second coat of colour
After a scuff and clean, a second coat of colour went on, and the frames and body were adjusted piece by piece to match.

Two coats of clear
Two coats of clear went on the frames, body, doors and drawers, and the cabinets were then put back together and cleaned up.
