Purple Painting sprayed the new built-in cabinets in a Hope Ranch guest bathroom in a high gloss finish and painted the ceiling, cabinet interiors and door casings, for the designer Andrea Schumacher Interiors.

A guest bathroom in Hope Ranch, finished in deep reds for the designer Andrea Schumacher Interiors, who invited us to partner on the project. The new cabinet fronts, drawers and box frames were sprayed in a high gloss finish.

The existing drywall ceiling and the cabinet and drawer interiors were painted in satin. The door casings and frames (interior side) and the new wood trim at the attic access were painted in semi-gloss.

How we did it

  1. Protect the bathroom

    Everything not being painted was protected, including the wallpaper.

  2. Paint the ceiling and cabinet interiors

    The ceiling and the interiors of the cabinetry were prepared and painted a light red in satin.

  3. Spray the cabinet fronts in the shop

    The cabinetry was taken to the shop to be sprayed there, and the cabinet and drawer fronts were prepared and sprayed a dark red in high gloss.

  4. Paint the door casings and attic trim

    The door casings and the attic access trim were painted off white in semi-gloss, with a cut line at the bedroom door casing for a smooth transition.

  5. Install the hardware and clean up

    The octopus hardware was installed on the cabinet door fronts and the bathroom cleaned and made ready to hand back.
