New Tesla Charging stations are being installed all around town - including in the parking garage located on the corner of Ortega and Anacapa Street. This new charging station required thick conduit to be ran and this conduit needed to be painted in order to hide it so it does not stand out, and to protect it so it does not rust. All finishes used were high performance, industrial coatings.

How we did it

  1. Mask everything not being painted

All areas around the conduit that were not being painted were masked off.

  2. Etch the galvanized metal

The galvanized conduit, supports and junction boxes were etched so the primer could grip.

  3. Prime the metal

The etched metal was primed with a bonding primer made for slick surfaces.

  4. Finish in two coats

Two coats of exterior industrial coating went over the primer to hide the conduit against the wall and keep it from rusting.
