The wood benches on the rooftop terrace at the Santa Barbara Public Market had weathered to grey. Purple Painting sanded them down, then stained and clear coated them for long term protection.
In communal spaces, outdoor benches and other daily fixtures wear down quickly. When managing a property you can reduce liability from splintering or deteriorating wood by re-finishing surfaces every 2-3 years.
We refinished the benches alongside the entry door staining for the Alma del Pueblo HOA, in the condominiums next door.
How we did it
-
Sand the benches
The weathered grey slats, backrests and arms of each bench were sanded down.
-
Stain and clear coat
The sanded benches were stained, then clear coated for long term protection.
