Purple Painting patched and repainted the painted stucco around the preschool areas of the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Barbara, a few months after we repainted the preschool inside. The work covered all the columns outside the preschool entry, the playground walls along the fenced areas, the damage at the base of the walls along the back of the preschool, and the enclosed foyer and hallway areas, including the maintenance hallway.

We scraped off the loose and failing paint, patched the damaged stucco with stucco patch and spot primed it with masonry primer, filled the cracks with an elastomeric bridging caulk and caulked open gaps and joints. Each area was then painted corner to corner where possible, or to an inconspicuous break such as between a door frame and the soffit, so the repairs don’t show. The air registers in the walkway soffits were painted too.

First Presbyterian is a returning client: we do work for the church year after year. See all of our work at First Presbyterian Church.

  3. Paint corner to corner

Each area was painted corner to corner where possible, otherwise cutting a line at an inconspicuous break, such as between a door frame and the soffit or between two window frames, so the repairs don't show.
