Painting for Wolfe & Associates

Wolfe & Associates is a property management company, founded in 1971, that manages rentals across Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties, many of them apartments in Isla Vista next to UCSB. Purple Painting turns its Isla Vista units between tenants, 132 of them since 2023.
Most of the work comes each June, between one year’s leases and the next. In one season we turned 31 Wolfe units, most of them in a single week, with four more later that year.
A turn is scoped room by room: the living room, the kitchen, each bathroom and bedroom with its closets, hallways, ceilings where needed, shelves, and every door on both sides with its jamb. Kitchen cabinets and vanities are added when a unit needs them. We have converted stained kitchen cabinets to paint, and on one wood ceiling scraped off the failing paint, primed with a shellac primer and finished in semi-gloss.
